Laser printer toners are the powder used in laser printers and photocopiers in order to form the printed text and images on the paper. Laser printer toner is a fine and dry carbon-based powder mixed with a polymer, which is applied to the paper. The consistency of the powder is more like dust. A laser is used to burn the toner on the paper. The heats of the fuser melt the particles of toner which causes them to attach to the paper. The toner composition differs according to the manufacturer as the particle size affects the resolution. It is believed that, the smaller the toner particles, the better the resolution is.
