Optoma Pico Pocket Projector

Main advantage of this latest projector is the size. Like the name suggests, it’s a pocket projector which is perfect for someone who is on the road most of the times. Although the images are not that crisp but the size easily compensates for it. You can also hook it up to your iPod, Smart phone or digital cameras.

Pico Projector comes with cables needed to plug it to a Tv or any mobile device, an ac adapter, two lithium ion battery packs and a carrying case. Optoma claims that these batteries run for at least 90 minutes each. The resolution is 480-by-320 with which it can project an image measuring 60 inches diagonally from a distance of 8.5 feet. The overall size of this projector is almost like a cell phone which makes it extremely handy and easy to carry.

Setting up is also very easy although you might have to struggle a little when you want to put in or change the batteries. Other than this minor problem it is compatible will all sorts of devices.

Pico has a 1/8-inch minijack cable for projecting from a digital camera or a mobile device. Also it has an audio/video cable for projecting from a Tv or composite-equipped PC.  Although it can project from all devices but you might need a third party adapter to use it with some newer iPod models, in which the output is through the dock connector rather than the headphone jack.
